INFOTRIP undertook as joint venture the project titled “Installation of wireless broadband network and added value services of electronic tourism at the County of Rodopi”. Objective of this project is the development and evaluation of advanced services, information and telecommunications that will be provided according to the users’ location (location-based services) over the wireless access networks (hotspots) that will be installed to the County of Rodopi.

INFOTRIP undertook the project titled “Mobile Portal for the citizen’s information with a view to the promotion of broadband local access networks at the Municipality of Metsovo (Mobile Government)”. Objective of this project is the installation of wireless broadband access networks and the development of advanced services, information which will be provided according the users location (location-based) over the wireless access networks (hotspots) that will be installed to the Municipality of Metsovo

INFOTRIP recently undertook the project titled «Intelligent traffic management system, passenger and public information of the County of Chalkidiki».

With great success was accomplished the participation of INFOTRIP S.A. at the POLIS 2009 – 7th International Exhibition of Local Authority, Public and Social Sector and Private Enterprises and Supplies, which took place at 26–29 of November at the Thessaloniki International Exhibition Centre (HELEXPO).

The training seminar according the fleet management system – FLASH was accomplished successfully. The participants were all the users from Urban KTEL (Chania, Ptolemaida, Lamia, Kozani, Kabala, Herakleio, etc.), which took place in headquarter of company in Thessaloniki.

The Infotrip will participate in the 7th International Report Polis 2009 of Local Government, Public and Social Sector and Private Enterprises, which will be take place on 26-29 November 2009 in the International Exhibition Center of Thessaloniki.

The companies were official sponsors of the exhibition’s parallel events. In addition to sponsoring the events, the companies also participated with presentations from Mr. Apostolos Bizakis Managing Director of Tredit S.A., Mr. Dionisis Grigoropoulos Director of Athens Branch, George Tsoukos Director of Planning & Development Application’s department and Mr. Athanasios Vrachinopoulos Sales Director of Infotrip S.A.

Tredit S.A. and Infotrip S.A. will be official sponsors in the 2nd International Exhibition “Supply Chain & Logistics 2009”, which will take place at 6 - 9 of February 2009 in the former West Airport of Athens (Helliniko), an exhibition that signifies the succession of a high quality organization and the begging of a new era in which the industry of logistics is rapidly evolving.

Infotrip S.A. and the parent company Tredit S.A. were sponsors of the event that was organized by the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers (S.E.S.) at 29th of November within the Money Show 2008 framework, with subject: “Presentation of the Publication, opinions and proposals of the Hellenic Institute of Transportation Engineers about the Transportation System of Thessaloniki”. At the event, were participated deputies of the country of Thessaloniki like Mr. Tzitzikostas (N.D.), Kastanidis (PΑ.SΟ.Κ) and Kourakis (SΥRΙΖΑ), representatives of the Regional Authority, institutions of the city, unions and groups of citizens.

The Urban KTEL of Katerini and Larisa are becoming the first KTEL in Greece that operate the FLASH application which is provided exclusively by Infotrip S.A. . Infotrip S.A. has completed successfully the projects with title «Commission and installation of completeted telematic system for dynamic public information and automatic ticketing at urban transport» for the Urban KTEL of Katerini and Larisa.

As effect of the increased longevity and reduced birth-rate, the older population is growing at a considerably fast rate. This rapid expansion of the older population affects practically all the regions of the world and is increasing: by 2020 the 65+ population will represent 25% of the overall population in Europe.
The ageing of the population is changing also the workforce scenario: currently in Europe the ratio between working people and retired ones is equal to 4:1 but analysts expect a drastic reduction of this ratio up to 2:1 in 2050. Healthcare and Pension systems are struggling to cope with additional demand also in consideration that age and disability are strongly correlated: around a fifth of people over 50 experience severe vision, hearing and dexterity problems.

Athens, 10 April 2008. InfoTrip S.A., a company specializing in the provision of ITS solutions and telematic applications, presented today innovative products for the transport sector, as well as a new series of real time traffic information and infomobility services for drivers, under the brand “MyRoute.gr”.

The implementation of telematic fleet management system and information of passengers in the bus stop, of Municipality of Vyrwna has just began.

Infotrip completed the first phase of its infomobility platform in the framework of the “Intelligent Trip” framework. The platform delivers drivers and passengers information services through various channels (web, nomadic devices, SMS).

Infotrip and the EU funded project ASK-IT signed an MoU at 20 February 2007.
ASK-IT is an Integrated project (http://www.ask-it.org/ ), which aims to deploy a pan-European system to assist mobility impaired people through mobile devices.
The ASK-IT services include accessibility and mobility information. Infotrip will sponsor the Greek pilot of the project by supplying services and content for mobility impaired people for Greece.

Infotrip signed a contract with the Greek “Information Society S.A.” organization in the framework of the “Intelligent Trip” programme at 14 December 2006.
Infotrip implements the project “Integrated platform for traffic data collection and development of informobility services”.
